PAST PROJECTS

  1. 83 marginal women farmers of Puduvayal and Kathiresanar Nagar, Have been enabled to raising intercrops, drumstick tree, horticulture crops, ground nuts, red and black grams, and cow pea in their marginal lands. They have been supported to rear cow calves to support their organic intercrops with the help of RSWR, USA.

  2. 125 school going children from 5 villages in Ammachathiram, Sannayapatti, Melur, Annapatti, and Puduvayal were supported to enhance their scholastic performances thru education centers. SIRAGU Foundation, Chennai, supported the project.

  3. SUCCESSS TRUST promoted a nursery of plants, trees, distributed 5000 tree saplings of mango, guava, amla, neem, punkan and poovarasu, Jack fruit, to the landless and marginal women farmers to raise and contribute to the environment.

  4. SUCCESS TRUST successfully organized National Environment Awareness Campaign under the auspices of Ministry of Environment and forests, Government of India, thru its nodal agency, PEACE TRUST, Dindigul in the target villages, on sustainable agriculture, forests and livelihoods, water and sanitation, rain water harvesting, bio diversity conservation education in the past years.

  5. 625 women , school children, general public took part in Naturopathy and Yoga Awareness program that was organized to educate the target beneficiaries on the preparation of food items, without cooking and boiling, so that the natural ingredients were lost. This program has been organized by SUCCESS TRUST with National Institute of Naturopathy, Pune, Department of AYUSH and Naturopathy,, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

  6. 155 elected women leaders of village panchayats, 160 women group leaders from 55 village Panchayats of Pudukottai district were trained intensively in gender sensitized good governance , leadership and management skills, laws related to Panchayat Raj Act, its important sections related to village panchayats, elected leaders, members , limitations to make the panchayats providing equal opportunities to women and serving all the village people and families in letter and spirit from 2011-2016, 155 husbands of the elected women leaders of the project were sensitized in gender perspectives. 86000 people and voters, general public in 385 villages were educated on voting and participating in grassroots democracies thru street theater campaigns and IEC materials on Panchayat Raj. Feed the Minds, UK partnered with us in implementing this project.

  7. Sustainable income generation project funded by RSWR, USA to 75 marginal women farmers had been implemented in Narangiyanpatti, Minnatthoor and Udayanpatti villages from October 1, 2010, till September 30, 2013. The project women beneficiaries’ farmers are revolving the funds, benefits among 45 new women farmers’ beneficiaries in the 3 target villages.

  8. 629 families living in Vengaivayal, Puduvayal and Thenipatti, have been provided with round the clock drinking water as they were not having water facilities before the sinking of bore wells and putting up of hand pumps at 3 villages. Water for Humanity Fund, USA supported the project.

  9. 60 youth from 10 villages of Kunnandarkoil and Annavasal block, Pudukottai district had been enabled to undergo leadership and communication skills to form and run their youth clubs. Youth were given training in interpersonal relations, entrepreneurship development skills.

  10. SUCCESS Trust enabled tsunami survivors, the fishermen and other coastal families to have their basic needs of food, clothes, kitchen needs, and utensils in 2004-2005. Along with CRY - Campaign on Equality and Equity Tsunami Rehabilitation, SUCCESS TRUST, enabled the tsunami victim families to have easy access to Government rehabilitation programs who live in the coastal villages of Pudukottai district from Kattumavadi to R. Pudupattinam villages, covering 32 coastal villages.

  11. Sports materials and books for the school library had been donated to 25 public schools that are located in coastal villages providing school education to fishermen and other coastal families along the coast. The children studying in 25 schools been given school books, bags, and other school needs to facilitate their school education. School Children were also counseled to overcome and come out of their post tsunami trauma and shock. ASHA Honor, Chennai supported the interventions.
